Prenzlauer Berg and Friedrichshain shape Berlin’s image as a hip, trendy city more than any other. Not for any reason they are the home to most of Berlin’s more recent citizens. One who moves to Berlin is moving here. It offers a wide range of nightlife activities; the more popular area is located around Katanienallee, Kollwitzplatz and Helmholzplatz. The Kulturbrauerei, the central party location, is situated at the metro station Eberswalder Straße. The former castle-like brewery grounds host clubs and restaurants, concerts are enjoyed in the Kesselhaus or in the Pefferberg in close proximity to the Kulturbrauerei.
